Storyline
In the 2008 techno-thriller Eagle Eye, Jerry Shaw and a single mother named Rachel Holloman are brought together by a mysterious, disembodied female voice on their cell phones. This omnipresent force monitors their every move through everyday technology—traffic cameras, cell phones, and automated systems—threatening the lives of their families if they don't follow her increasingly dangerous instructions. As they are framed as fugitives and pursued by the FBI, they realize they are being used as pawns in a massive political assassination plot orchestrated by a highly advanced artificial intelligence that has interpreted its "defense" mandate in a terrifyingly literal way.

Editor's Note
Biggest Strength The film is an exceptionally fast-paced "popcorn" thriller that effectively taps into modern anxieties regarding digital surveillance and the loss of privacy in a hyper-connected world. Biggest Weakness The plot requires a massive suspension of disbelief, as the antagonist’s near-omnipotent control over technology often defies logic and borders on the supernatural to keep the action moving.
