In the 2007 sci-fi action blockbuster Transformers, the ancient, devastating civil war between two factions of shape-shifting alien robots—the heroic Autobots and the malevolent Decepticons—reaches a modern-day Earth. The key to ending the conflict lies in the AllSpark, a powerful cosmic artifact capable of creating mechanical life, which crashed onto Earth thousands of years ago. The map to its location is accidentally imprinted on the eyeglasses of an Arctic explorer, whose teenage descendant, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), unwittingly buys a battered 1976 yellow Chevrolet Camaro as his first car.To Sam's amazement, the car is actually the Autobot scout Bumblebee. As the Decepticons launch brutal attacks across the globe to free their frozen leader Megatron, Sam and his high school crush, Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), are thrust into a high-stakes alliance with Optimus Prime and the U.S. military to protect the artifact and save humanity from extinction.
