Alien vs. Predator

In the 2004 sci-fi action crossover Alien vs. Predator, cinema's two most iconic extraterrestrial monsters clash on Earth. When a satellite detects a mysterious, intense heat signature deep beneath the ice of Bouvet Island in Antarctica, wealthy industrialist Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) assembles an elite team of scientists, drillers, and survival experts led by environmental technician Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan). Upon exploring the site, they discover a massive, ancient subterranean pyramid that blends Aztec, Egyptian, and Cambodian architecture. Unwittingly, the team triggers a mechanized awakening process, trapping themselves inside a shifting labyrinth. They soon realize the pyramid is a highly lethal proving ground where captive Xenomorphs are bred for a ritualistic hunt by adolescent Predators (Yautja). Caught in the middle of a brutal, primitive war, the human survivors must fight to stay alive while preventing the deadly Xenomorph outbreak from reaching the surface.
