Storyline
In the 2018 sequel The Equalizer 2, Robert McCall has transitioned from a quiet life at a hardware store to working as a Lyft driver in Boston, where he continues to provide "vigilante justice" for the exploited and oppressed. His life of low-profile altruism is shattered when his closest friend and former CIA colleague, Susan Plummer, is murdered while investigating a suspicious murder-suicide in Brussels. Driven by personal grief, McCall re-engages with his lethal past to hunt down the killers, only to discover that the culprits are highly trained operatives with skills equal to his own. The film culminates in a tactical showdown during a massive hurricane in McCall's seaside hometown, where he uses his environment as a weapon.

Editor's Note
Biggest Strength The film deepens the character of Robert McCall by exploring his past and his humanity, particularly through his role as a mentor to a young neighbor, which provides a meaningful counterweight to the intense violence. Biggest Weakness The plot is somewhat fragmented, with several subplots—like McCall’s daily interactions with his passengers—feeling disconnected from the main revenge storyline, which can slow down the overall momentum.
