The Magnificent Seven

In the 2016 Western action film The Magnificent Seven, a remake of the 1960 classic, the desperate town of Rose Creek finds itself under the deadly, suffocating grip of corrupt industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). After Bogue slaughters innocent citizens to seize their gold-rich land, a grieving widow named Emma Cullen (Haley Bennett) seeks out justice and protection. She recruits Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), a stoic warrant officer, who takes the job and begins assembling a lethal, diverse band of outlaws, mercenaries, and outcasts. Chisolm's crew includes the charismatic, explosive-loving gambler Josh Faraday (Chris Pratt), a haunted sharpshooter, an exiled assassin, a skilled tracker, a deadly warrior, and a notorious Mexican outlaw. Together, this ragtag group of seven prepares the townspeople for a massive, violent stand against Bogue’s private army, finding themselves fighting for more than just a paycheck.
