Editor's Note
Biggest Strength The film shines in its depiction of the intense, physical reality of the U.S. Coast Guard’s mission, using impressive water-tank sequences and practical effects to honor a branch of the military rarely spotlighted in Hollywood. Biggest Weakness The narrative follows a very familiar "tough mentor and rebellious student" blueprint, hitting almost every predictable beat found in military training dramas like Top Gun or An Officer and a Gentleman.
