Storyline
In the 2014 animated sequel Rio 2, Blu, Jewel, and their three chicks leave their domesticated life in Rio de Janeiro for a journey into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Jewel is eager for the kids to learn how to live like "real" birds, and upon arrival, they discover a hidden tribe of Blue Macaws—including Jewel’s long-lost father, Eduardo. As Blu struggles to fit into the wild and compete with Jewel’s charismatic childhood friend, Roberto, the flock faces an external threat from illegal loggers destroying their habitat. Meanwhile, the vengeful cockatoo Nigel returns with a theatrical flair, plotting a Shakespearean revenge against Blu during the tribe's struggle for survival.
