Storyline
In the 2006 comedy Nacho Libre, Jack Black stars as Ignacio, a cook at an impoverished Mexican orphanage who secretly dreams of becoming a luchador. Since the monastery strictly forbids wrestling, Ignacio dons a mask and assume the persona of "Nacho," teaming up with a local thief named Steven (Esqueleto) to compete in local matches. His goal is to use the prize money to buy better food for the orphans and win the respect of Sister Encarnación. The film follows his journey as he balances his religious duties with his flamboyant secret life, culminating in a high-stakes battle against the champion wrestler, Ramses.

Editor's Note
Biggest Strength The film’s unique, quirky aesthetic and dry humor—characteristic of director Jared Hess—give it a distinct personality, further elevated by Jack Black’s energetic and oddly heartfelt performance. Biggest Weakness The thin plot and slow pacing can make the movie feel like a series of loosely connected sketches rather than a cohesive narrative, which may not appeal to those looking for a faster-moving comedy.
