Storyline
In the 2008 animated comedy Igor, the kingdom of Malaria is a gloomy land whose economy thrives on "Evil Inventions" created by mad scientists and their hunchbacked assistants, all of whom are forced to be named Igor. The story follows one particular Igor who is a secret genius and dreams of becoming a scientist himself. When his master dies in a laboratory accident, Igor seizes the opportunity to enter the annual Evil Science Fair by creating a giant, terrifying monster named Eva. However, his plan goes hilariously awry when Eva turns out to be a sweet, aspiring actress instead of a mindless killing machine, forcing Igor to teach her how to be "evil" while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire kingdom.

Biggest Strength The film boasts a refreshingly dark, Burton-esque aesthetic and a quirky sense of humor that subverts classic horror tropes in a way that is both creative and visually distinct. Biggest Weakness The frantic pacing and cluttered plot can feel overwhelming, preventing the more heartfelt moments between the characters from fully resonating.
