Trolls

In DreamWorks' 2016 animated musical comedy Trolls, the perpetually optimistic Princess Poppy (voiced by Anna Kendrick) leads a colorful, dance-obsessed community of Trolls who spend their days hugging, singing, and living in complete harmony. However, their peaceful life is shattered when an overly loud, glittery celebration reveals their hidden location to the Bergens—miserable, giant creatures who believe the only way to experience true happiness is by eating a Troll. After several of Poppy's friends are captured by the evil Chef (Christine Baranski), Poppy sets off on a dangerous rescue mission to Bergen Town. To survive, she relies on the help of Branch (Justin Timberlake), a paranoid, gray-toned survivalist who refuses to sing or hug due to a tragic past. Together, the mismatched duo must venture into enemy territory, learn to understand one another, and convince young Bergen King Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and his scullery maid Bridget (Zooey Deschanel) that happiness comes from within, not from eating others.
